Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Job Opportunity: Electro-Mechanical Assembler Bio-Data Corporation | Horsham, PA
Bio-Data Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of medical laboratory instruments and reagents with a global reputation in platelet function testing, is seeking a full-time Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, including working with mechanisms, motors, wiring, and printed circuit boards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electro-mechanical components using hand tools (pliers, cutters, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).
- Follow detailed verbal and written instructions for multi-step assembly processes.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
- Demonstrate good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
- Lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Support assembly operations across various departments (engineering, stock room, packaging, shipping, receiving).
- Follow written procedures for assembly, wiring, testing, and calibration, interpreting schematics, engineering drawings, and bills of material.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
- Perform hand soldering and assemble wire harnesses (cutting, stripping, and crimping wires).
- Troubleshoot and repair printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and updating procedures (a plus, but not required).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and mechanical problems.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting pay: $24.00 per hour (based on experience).
