MAINTENANCE ELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT
Omaha, NE – Beef Plant

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise technician team members, plus provide leadership and direction to plant maintenance tech department
• Supervise day to day repairs of electrical and/or electronic components on electrical pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems with in all production areas
• Aid in developing preventative electrical maintenance programs, ordering parts and materials, maintaining and organizing inventory and entering work orders for maintenance tasks
• Manage repairs and preventive maintenance on all weighing equipment within the plant; ensuring daily calibration checks are done according to standards set and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers and associated systems
• Includes instrumentation, motor control circuits, alarms systems, and scales
• Control all new equipment installment and conduct wire
• Supervising, planning, and implementing maintenance activities in the plant to maximize production while adhering to standard safety practices and procedures, environmental, and legal requirements
• Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goal attainment.
• Participate in plant HAZMAT team
• Schedule and direct workforce assigning projects to appropriate personnel, track attendance in Kronos system correcting any errors when necessary
• Conduct safety meetings and safety audits
• Manage maintenance tech departments costs within budgetary guidelines
• All other duties assigned by the Plant Engineer

Experience Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required or technical schooling degree with mechanical or electrical emphasis
• 2 years' directly related tech experience necessary
• Previous supervisory position preferred but not required
• Welding and electrical experience required

Skills/Abilities Required:

• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, flexible hours and some weekends
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Ability to perform general mathematical calculations
• Demonstrate strong leadership and critical thinking skills and be able to manage conflict
• Ability to lift u to 60 pounds and stand/ walk for extended periods of time
• Knowledge of HACCP
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
