Job Summary

This position is considered a full-time position in Glen Ullin and will work Monday through Thursday from 7 am to 5:30 pm. In this position, the successful applicant will assist the County Highway Department on a variety of road projects throughout the season.

Responsibilities and Duties
This position may perform installation, repair, and maintenance activities on County roadways and ditches.
The successful applicant must also be able to work in the elements while performing work safely and responsibly.
We are looking for an individual who is committed to protecting and enhancing the current roadway infrastructure within our County.
Equally important, we need an individual who can courteously serve our constituents in a manner consistent with our Core Values.

Qualifications and Skills
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
Possesses or may obtain a Class A license at the time of hire;
Knowledge of relevant safety practices;
Knowledge of related tools, machinery, and equipment utilized in road repair activities;
Capacity to take direction; and
Strong attention to detail is required.
